Passwords and passkeys on Android: migrate without losing access
A coordinated transfer avoids some plain-text files, but credentials still need checking.

Different credentials
A password can be exported as readable text, creating risk if the file remains on a device or in cloud storage. Passkeys use cryptographic credentials and app support; do not assume every passkey can move between every manager. Google described an Android flow in which the destination app requests transfer from an existing provider.
Test the result
Prepare account recovery options first. On an updated phone, check compatible managers and test selected sites using both passwords and passkeys. Keep the old manager until checks are complete, then review old sessions. If an app offers CSV export, protect the file because it contains readable secrets.
